In Memories~Lest We Forget
In memories they live
Black and white pictures
Faded and worn
Of days gone by
Proudly going off to war
Smiling and mugging for the cameras
Seemingly unaware of what they'd face
But their bravery
Determination and resilience
In the face of tyranny
Hardship and slaughter
Must be remembered
Must never be forgotten
For those young men and women
Fought to protect and preserve
Your rights and freedom
Lest we forget
